Painting Water
Martha’s Vineyard is surrounded by water. I need to live near the water. It fascinates me because it is always changing. Water has no color, but it reflects what is around it. The color of the sky, clouds, sunlight, shadows, its depth: all these affect the color of water. And it is always changing!
I love painting water. It has a myriad of colors; notice them you are next looking out over the ocean. It is a challenge to capture waves, its froth, its roll. How am I doing?
